Epistema releases a live A2A semantic-assurance proof.

Microsoft Foundry can discover and invoke a deployed Epistema assurance endpoint through A2A over HTTPS, submit a proposed commitment, and receive a structured, read-only assessment before organizational action proceeds.

The release

A working cross-platform assurance handoff.

This is more than a local semantic mock-up and more than an architecture diagram. A real upstream agent surface resolved Epistema’s Agent Card, invoked the deployed endpoint, and received a completed semantic readout over the A2A path.

What the run demonstrated

  • Published Agent Card discovery
  • HTTPS JSON-RPC transport between Foundry and Epistema
  • Evidence references, missing evidence, reason codes, and assurance posture in the response
  • Fabricated approval evidence deferred rather than accepted
  • Explicitly read-only, with no authorization or state mutation

Why it matters

Agent platforms provide identity, context, orchestration, tools, evaluation, guardrails, and execution. Epistema addresses a different question at the handoff point:

Is this consequential action warranted by the evidence and authority available now?

The answer can be to proceed, constrain, defer, gate, reject, or request reassessment. The readout informs that decision; it does not make it.

The buyer frame

Blast radius sets the threshold. Warrant establishes whether it was earned.

Consequential autonomy has two sides: what happens if the system is wrong, and what justifies proceeding. This marketecture places semantic assurance in the larger ecosystem of identity, policy, runtime, observability, evaluation, and control.

Two sides of every decision: blast radius determines how much assurance an action must earn, while epistemic state determines whether it has earned it, within an eight-layer agent control plane.
Ecosystem marketecture, not a claim that Epistema supplies every control-plane layer.

Epistema’s position: a specialist semantic-assurance capability that can sit beside agent platforms and orchestration runtimes, helping bind evidence, interpretation, authority, and current-state support to consequential commitments.

The next horizon

Significant proof. A clear path to more.

The release establishes a working assurance boundary and a practical foundation for deeper enterprise integration.

Proven · bounded

Portable invocation

A deployed endpoint can be discovered and invoked by a compatible Foundry agent through A2A.

Semantic non-authority

A readout can qualify unsupported approval evidence without authorizing or mutating governed state.

Enterprise integration foundation

Agent Card discovery, deployed A2A transport, and read-only semantic assurance provide a practical foundation for integrating Epistema with enterprise agent platforms.
